The folks behind Battlefield 2's IDF mod released the next update, Update v0.20 which comes with new content such as:
-new maps
-New factions
-new vehicles
-and fixes to the mod

I would like to mention that the Weapon loadouts in the mod have been fixed as in the previous version you could get access to the vanilla guns of BF2, now that has been corrected and every loadout gets its own gun, no unlocks included this time.

In terms of new content, new maps have been included in the version 0.20, how many maps you may ask?

A LOT OF THEM, LOTS OF NEW MAPS, hours of fun guaranteed! Some of them have new Air supremacy gameplay styles that get you inside a fighter or a bomber ASAP and has you fight against the opponent's airforce, if you're an ace combat fan, then this maps are for you.

They even managed to include a naval warfare map where fighting against ships in the sea is the main core of the map, im sure world of warships players will like this one.
