Battlefield 3 - out of bounds in Semper Fidelis
10Semper Fidelis is the prologue map of the game. It's literally nothing more than a few corridors and QTEs before it's over, and you'd imagine it would be a fairly dry level to try to glitch. Me and Kazooie did it anyway the other day, and managed to go out of bounds!
In the part of the level where you have jumped back inside the train, trying to vault on the seats to the left can cause Blackburn to enter a space so cramped that he starts to shake. Nothing unusual yet, but we discovered that applying some reverse psychology on the collision of this game, i.e. moving away from the area you're trying to breach to make the game push you deeper into it, is actually a thing. So after vaulting, move carefully away from the walls to sink inside.
Now Blackburn is hanging outside the train. Wiggling around lets you drop down and fall on a floor underneath the train. Since the train isn't actually moving - only the surrounding graphics are - Blackburn stays with the train even under the rails. Unfortunately the floor here isn't all that wide or long, so moving around you eventually just fall down. From what we tried to look at the train from the left side, we couldn't see any cutscene characters to shoot from OoB.
1:14 - sometimes Blackburn also dies when falling off the train. Maybe there's a little bit of insta-death floor right underneath.
