Battlefield 4 Performance on Windows 8.1
Does switching to Windows 8.1 or having a dual boot system really help you in getting a higher average framerate in Battlefield 4? My test results on Operation Locker:
Min FPS: 72 vs. 84
Max FPS: 158 vs. 174
Average: 110 vs. 120+
(Windows 7 vs Windows 8.1)
In order to get a proper dual boot going you need to disable "Fast Startup" in Win8:
- Control Panel - Power Options - Choose what the power buttons do - Change settings that are currently unavailable - disable "Turn on fast startup (recommended)"
Trivia: There is no Dx11.1 support for the GTX-600 series GPU's! Nvidia advertised it some weird not really full support of the 600 series therefore I thought I was running Dx11.1
Sorry for any confusion..
