Bungo — Japanese Tier X battleship. After revising the development plan of the Japanese Navy, new battleships and battlecruisers were ordered. This is how Project L emerged—an expanded version of Project A, which became the Kii class. She also had five main battery turrets housing 457 mm guns. However, the project's displacement exceeded that of the Kii class by 9,000 tons, resulting in a cost surge. The emergence of both the Kii class and the mentioned ships was prevented by the Washington Naval Conference, which resulted in a temporary ban on the construction of battleships and limited their total tonnage.

Bungo was first released for Early Access on 11 October 2023 with Update 12.9.
