Battletech - An Introduction 2 vs 2 Ep. 6
8Having covered the basics of how to control a single mech in the last two episodes, our hosts now turn towards expanding the scope of the battlefield, by having two mechs face each other.
Now we move on from just controlling a solitary unit and introduce actual tactics into the mix.
Please note that for the sake of brevity, Stephan explains most of the rules from memory, so if something is not 100% correct, please don't crucify us. When in doubt, please check the current rulebook + errata to make sure. This is intended to serve as a starting point, not the be all end all of Battletech rules discussions.
Battletech is an iconic boardgame / wargame that has been around for over 30 years with multiple videogame adaptations and a rich backstory full of big stompy robots beating the crap out of each other.
As it so happens, Stephan has played for several years on the German tournament scene (even though those days are long gone), while Steve has never played the game, but a keen interest in doing so. Thus we present to you our first Battletech tutorial in Tabletop Simulator.
Therefore, we now present you with Steve's second ever game of Battletech, where Stephan explains the basic rules as the game progresses in order to give an introduction to core game mechanics based on the Total Warfare core rulebook.
