Battletoads NES The Most Toadally Raddest Compilation Video Ever!
5Here is a most toadally rad compilation of the infamously challenging Battletoads by Rare and Tradewest, featuring:
-For the first time ever EVERY single cut scene! (Both Professor T. Bird and the Dark Queen offer a total of four messages each per level, which randomly change from game to game)
-Flawless boss battles! (Aaaaaaaah! The Dark Queen was such a bitch to perfect!)
-Tons of highlights/memorable moments! (such as finding the warps, or racing through the final stretch of the Turbo Tunnel, among other toadally radical things!)
-All of the possible Ending, Continue and Game over messages! (4 Ending messages each by Professor T. Bird and the Dark Queen/8 Continue messages provided by Professor T. Bird/4 Game Over screens provided by the Dark Queen)
-Some of the most painful and funniest deaths and glitches around! (bad programming leading to cheap deaths, the booting of all three Rat Racers, a toadally bogus forced reset during the third/final Rat Race and special bad/bonus endings)
This compilation took a looooooooooooong a$$ time to put together, so I'm glad that it's toadally done now, dudes and dudettes, YEAH!
Playing the game so much has inspired me to go for a no death run, as I've improved a great deal from my 2004 ten death/no warps run. Hopefully I'll be back with a no death run REAL soon, if all goes well hahaha!
Mostly played by Daniel "DTysonator" Teixeira on an original NES console while using regular official controllers (Chang "Tsung" Toy helped out with some of the two player footage, so thanks again, man!).
While no cheating was used to complete the levels in this game, a Game Genie was used in order to resume play at particular levels. This was in order to compensate for the fact that the cut scene, continue and game over messages change from game to game, so some levels have to potentially be beaten over ten times before the desired message is obtained, it's toadally random!
One time I even played through Level 11's Clinger Winger for over two hours and still did not get the message that I wanted hahaha, no joke!
