Welcome to Geometry Dash! This level took me 2 sessions that were over a month apart. After my first session, as you will see I was very annoyed with the level, but I believe it was a deeper issue. I just wanted more and I knew I had more to give after Kenos. This is the reason that I made the decision to go for The Golden. To say I took a slight detour away from Bausha Vortex is an understatement. When I came back after beating The Golden I felt a lot more patient and fulfilled, and I think you can see that difference between the 2 sessions shown in this video.

About the level, I enjoyed it. I wasn't enjoying it at all when I wasn't consistent, but having a month away from the level to focus on something else gave me the time to slowly build consistency with this level, rather than trying to rush it, and as a result I started to actually enjoy my time playing it. I have always been critical of Pennutoh's gameplay but I am happy to say that although this is a dated level, it still has its moments. With all of that said, I do have some issues with the transitions in this level. There are many stupid ways to die that often feel unfair at worst, and annoying at best: 32%, after the dual; 50%, before the dual and 61%, which I believe to be the hardest part. I only died at 61% twice but it easily could've been more times as this wave corridor is silent. All these parts are hard individually, but I could get over it if it wasn't for the stupid speed changes and awkward timings you have to do to avoid dying.

I will split this level into 4 parts:

The pre-drop (0%-19%) - There is nothing worse than a long pre-drop in a Nine Circles level. I like that this one gets straight to the point. Nothing to worry about here once you have played it for a little bit.

The pink part (19%-40%) - This part was very infuriating in the beginning, but it does get consistent after you spend some time with it. Aside from the odd awkward transition, I find it to be pretty decent.

The blue part (40%-62%) - The hardest part of the level. There are many parts in here that I could talk about but to name the main culprits, it would be 50%, which is the tight gap right before the dual, the dual itself and 61%, as mentioned earlier. Definitely spend a lot of time practicing this part, but more importantly, focus on getting good enough at the pink part that dying here no longer really matters.

The ending (62%-100%) - This is definitely my favourite part of the level. The waves are really good and there isn't too much that I don't like. The only part I could really pick at is the transition at 67% right after the dual, but even that got consistent for me. I really enjoyed playing this part when practicing and I am glad I did, since I had no deaths at the ending waves. The triple spikes at the very end are pretty easy. I had trouble with the second triple, since if you jump too late you can hit the spike above. I also had trouble with the 'invisible' triple that I died on. If you look at the glow on the ground you can get a pretty good idea of where the triple is going to be though, my death there was definitely a panic death and can be easily avoided.

All in all, pretty good level and definitely my favourite Pennutoh level so far!

Enjoy!
