Shooting only 1 (ONE) bullet at a time maximizes the accuracy and heavily lowers the ammunition waste rate. This doesn't make your gun less effective at all - in fact it allows you to kill more opponents with each magazine. Also, If you can tap enemy head with this, they won't be able to return fire properly because they get disoriented.

This technique requires a weapon that has a good aiming system or else you just end up swinging around with the crosshair while trying to get to the enemy's head.
