For myself its definitely a series I have had the pleasure playing in VR back in the arcades with the Vortek machine. And this entry apparently gives you crypto currency at some point when its released in full (more info in video on this topic).

But at $20 currently your getting one environment with one turret that gets missiles and canons as extra attacks. There are soldiers, helicopters, and ground vehicles to shoot, and there are health and weapon boxes to aid you. Yeah its definitely early access and there will be more content going forward but it felt to me more like I was playing a more of a early demo in its current state.

My biggest problem really comes down to the visuals looking very poorly in the headset and you can see it in the gameplay too. I am running the game in ultra settings and it just doesn't look good at all, looking like a budget psvr title which is the area I think development should be directed to first before attempting to add more content.

Currently I definitely had fun and shooting the turret feels great in VR but if your buying into this your buying into the idea the crypto currency aspect pays off, your buying into this getting more content, or your buying into satisfying your nostalgia. I cant recommend it currently but it might be worthwhile when its finished so the purchase could be worth it for you.
