I'm in a bear mood today, so I thought I'd make a video of Bear in the Big Blue House, Winnie the Pooh, and Yogi Bear singing one of the songs from Disney's The Jungle Book film from 1967. This one is called The Simple Bare Necessities. It was written by Terry Gilkyson and sung by Phil Harris as Baloo the Bear and Bruce Reitherman as Mowgli. It's a copyright of Walt Disney Records. Not only were The Bare Necessities just sung from The Jungle Book but it was sung by other performers as well. The Sherman Brothers, who wrote the other songs of the film, kept this song as the only song used from the previous version of it. A reprise of this song was sung by Sebastian Cabot as Bagheera and Phil Harris as Baloo at the end of the Disney film. Van Dyke Parks had to work on the arrangement, which was his first gig after moving to California. The song was also sung by Louis Armstrong. A hip-hop version of the song performed by Lou Rawls was used as the theme song from The Jungle Cubs. The Bare Necessities has now been nominated for an Acamedy Award for Best Songs. So, that's all I have to say about The Bare Necessities song.

Bear in the Big Blue House is owned by Mitchell Kreigman.
Yogi Bear is owned by William Hanna and Joseph Barbara.
Winnie the Pooh is owned by A. A. Milne.
