Durante o verão de 2003, eventos no nordeste dos Estados Unidos envolvendo uma estranha criatura humanóide provocou breve interesse da mídia local antes de um apagão aparente foi promulgada. Pouca ou nenhuma informação foi deixada intacta, como a maioria das contas da criatura online e impressas foram misteriosamente destruídos.
Principalmente focado no estado de New York rural e uma vez encontrado em Idaho, auto-proclamada testemunhas contaram histórias de seus encontros com uma criatura de origem desconhecida.
