Beetle PSX - In Development - Dynarec Will Make Accurate PS1 Emulation Much Faster! (RetroArch)
See here a sneak peek of the #BeetlePSX dynarec bounty in action. Read the linked article here - https://www.libretro.com/index.php/beetle-psx-dynarec-accurate-playstation1-emulation-is-about-to-get-a-lot-faster/
It's running on the latest version of #RetroArch. Note that these speed comparisons should be considered very prematurely and are not representative of the finished product. Test was performed on a Core i7 7700k PC running Windows 10. The software renderer is used at 1x.
Beetle PSX is an accurate PlayStation1 emulator that until now only had an interpreter CPU core, which made the emulator quite slow, but accurate. With the dynarec, Beetle PSX will be able to run at fullspeed on platforms that cannot handle it right now. It will also provide you the additional headroom needed to push CPU intensive operations like runahead and CPU overclocking on systems that are CPU-bound.
No ETAs! Will be released to the public when it's ready!
