Today we are talking about one of the best shows of all time. That’s right, we are talking about Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show first premiered in 2005, and ever since, we’ve been obsessed with the show. For this video, we specifically want to go behind the scenes and discover what happened during production and pre-production to find out how this incredible show was made. Learn about how creators Bryan Konieztko and Michael Dante DiMartino worked to make this show happen and how their creativity sparked the show we all fell in love with. We’ll be looking at the choreography that went into the making of the four bending styles: airbending, waterbending, firebending, and, of course, earthbending. We’ll also be looking at how the people who brought the show to life captured reference footage to create storyboards and how animators were able to closely replicate real-life martial arts styles. We aren’t stopping there, though. We’ll also dive into the voices behind our favorite characters like Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph and how they brought them to life. See how actors like Jack de Sena changed Sokka from a serious guy to someone more humorous. Beyond that, we’ll look at concept art that shows what the show could’ve been like if not for some serious changes. For example, did you know that the fun and cute lemur Momo was almost a robot? Crazy, right? Be sure to check out this video and let us know what your favorite behind the scene moment was. Thanks for watching!
