In this episode I have to defeat Lieutenant (Lieutenant for all my British viewers) Surge. I start by setting foot in Diglett's Cave, and, surprise surprise, I find myself a diglett, which I dub THE UNDERMINER. After catching THE UNDERMINER, Hot Rod Chomper cuts his way into the gym of Lt. Surge, the Lightning American. I fight the 3 basic trainers inthe gym with a combo of Fiver the pink rabbit, Dessert the blue turtle, and THE UNDERMINER the moral support. After manipulating spacetime to dig through the trash like a bum, I find myself face to torso with Lt. Surge. Surge's first 2 pokémon don't put up that much of a fight, but raichu carves his way through both Fiver and Dessert. The battle was left entirely to THE UNDERMINER, who slowly dispatches raichu with his sharp claws. With his last pokémon defeated, Lt. Surge gives us a thunder badge and thunder bolt.
