If you don't take care of the spawns around the ore fast enough, more and more monsters spawn. Which makes it more and more difficult to get to the spawns in the first place. Suddenly it's all too much to handle, but being the stubborn and greedy me that I am, I keep trying.

What send me over the edge here were two quick and overlapping red orbs. I think one would have been fine, or a little more delay in between. Ah well.

Gauntlet was a lot of fun, challenging campaign, died to Hillok twice, but made it to level 85 with the third character. Finishing Act 10 was my original goal, and I went well past that.
