Ben Affleck discusses why he will not direct DC films under James Gunn's supervision
Ben Affleck has admitted that he will not direct DC films for DC Studios president James Gunn.
"I would not direct anything for the James Gunn DC. "No way," Affleck remarked in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"I have nothing against James Gunn," Affleck said. He's a kind man, and I'm confident he'll do a fantastic job."
"I really wouldn't want to step in and direct the way they're doing it. "I'm not interested in it," the actor added.
Affleck stated that the film "got rather monotonous to me and less intriguing" while discussing Justice League.
When asked what went wrong with Justice League in 2017, Affleck remarked, "You could conduct a lecture on all the reasons why this is how not to make it."
Although audiences praised Zack Snyder's Justice League, the entire experience put Affleck off from directing a superhero film.
"I was planning to direct a Batman, then Justice League forced me go. I'm out. I never want to do anything like this again. "I'm not suited," the actor said.
"It was the worst experience I've ever seen in a career that is full of odd encounters," Affleck remarked. My heart was broken."
