13I felt like playing Pokemon, but I wanted to make sure the game still had some similarities to some other games on my channel, so we are doing a Nuzlocke. For the uninformed it is basically just the hardcore version of Pokemon! My rules for this series are in the description. Let's Play Pokemon Emerald Randomizer Nuzlocke Part 6.

The Nuzlocke Challenge is a set of rules intended to create a higher level of difficulty while playing the Pokémon games. Many challengers feel that the rules also serve the purpose of encouraging the use of Pokémon the player would not normally choose, and promoting closer bonds with the player's Pokémon. The rules are not an in-game function, but are self-imposed on the part of the player, and thus subject to variation.
Retromation's Rules:
• Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be placed in the PC.
• I can only catch the first Pokemon that I encounter in an area. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
• All Pokemon must be nicknamed in order to form a bond.
• No reloading / resetting unless it is due to recording difficulties.
• No Legendaries.
• If a shiny Pokemon shows up, it can be captured and used even if I have captured another Pokemon on that route already.
• If I already have captured the first Pokemon in a route, or any part of its evolutionary chain, I can skip that Pokemon and catch the next one.
• Dead Pokemon can be used for their HMs if required to progress in the game.
• Pokemon can be caught and placed in the "Illegal" PC box if more Pokemon must be captured to progress smoothly. (See HM05 Flash)
