Beneath Apple Manor for the Atari 8-bit family
Came also out for:
Apple II
PC Booter
Game description:
An early graphical rogue-like dungeon crawl. Slay some monsters, build up some experience, explore deeper levels.
The goal is to find the Golden Apple, buried somewhere deep in the basement beneath the manor.
This game can be configured for either graphics or text, 10 different skill levels, and configurable room layouts. Each level is created randomly at the beginning of the game.
Besides of monsters which you have to fight, you can also find treasures, secret doors and hidden traps in the dungeons.
What I think:
Back then when I still made my Apple II gameplay videos, I hought this game is bad...I was wrong. Still, I can't say it is good either...There are some things that bug me.
First of all are there the ghosts, which you can't defeat if you have low intelligence, which is also why you really shouldn't play "standard game" in my opinion.
Second....yeah, you know what? I already said it before...you shouldn't play "standard game"...it is just way too hard and depens quite on luck getting the right skills.
