"Beneath the Clay" by Kore is the second map of the Community Chest 64 project. This playthrough is on "I Own Doom" difficulty. I likely could have finished it on "Watch Me Die", but after 40 minutes in then dying to a horde the first time, I didn't want to have a repeat haha. It is a beautifully designed map which loops back in on itself multiple times in interesting ways. It's mostly tech base with a bit of castle and rocky caves. Considering its length, it likely could have been split into two maps with the castle and caves forked into another map. Then the big battle could have been good for a mid-level encounter for a second map. Considering its length is nicely navigable, with only the exit path being a little strange. Overall, there is some high-level geometry work here and its well balanced.
