Note: Keep in mind all this footage was recorded 2 before the upload. My last video took me about a day and a half to complete and was higher up on my priority list. Some of the stuff in the video may or may not match up to what is in the description. Thanks.

FOR ADVANCED FARMING SKIP A FEW PARAGRAPHS.

For Basic farming, your main objective is to get breaks on the enemies. Find an area where most of the enemies have the same weaknesses. By getting a break, it will give you an extra 10% xp bonus. For the JP bonus, you need to be able to clear the fight the first round for an additional 10%. Primrose can be used for basic farming, but I covered it in the Intermediate section because some people might’ve picked Primrose last, or not have her in the active party.

For Intermediate farming, you should have most of the 8 main jobs as sub jobs now. Equip another character with the Dance sub job. With Bewildering Grace, you have a chance to obtain a multiplier of x2, x5, and x100 for EXP or JP. They do not stack. Only the highest multiplier for JP and XP will apply. Make sure to bring plenty of healing items and save often.

For Advanced farming, you should have the 4 special classes at minimum. There are items that boost XP/JP by 50% and skills that increase XP/JP by 50% giving you double XP/JP growth. Alluring ribbon is to attract enemies faster as more encounters in a short period of time gives you more overall XP/JP.

People have a misconception that spamming Bewildering Grace is the absolute best way of leveling, but it’s not. Read my test results for 3 different farming tactics below.

3 Methods of Farming and which one came out on top.

I have tested each method twice for a 1-hour time period. I went from the first method to the next, and then started it back over.

Method 1)

Spam Bewildering Grace until I get a multiplier of any kind for XP.

Method 2)

Spam Bewildering Grace until I get a multiplier of x100.

Method 3)

Kill everything first round, and only use Bewildering Grace if the Dancer moves before the 1shot character.

At higher levels, its possible to do fights in 20-30 seconds (which includes the moment your screen goes black for the encounter to when you have control of our character in the world).

Method 1 is straight forward. I used BG until an xp multiplier of any kind showed up and finished the fight. In doing so, some of the battles where several minutes long. Anywhere from 40 seconds up to 7 minutes. In the 7 minute fight I got a multiplier of x5 EXP. After ending the fight I had received around 4000 xp. If I had defeated them in the first round and fought as many battles as I could for 7 minutes, I would’ve made over 10,000 experience without any multiplier.

It was around 800 or so xp.

800 x 5 = 4000. 4000 xp in 7 minutes is decent you might think. But at end game, you can easily do 10-14 fights in 7 minutes.

10 (fights) x 800xp = 8000xp

14 fights = 11,200xp

If you don’t get the x5 multiplier the first cast of BG, then you pretty much break even or slow down the grinding process. It takes about a minute or two just to get back up to 3 BP so you can cast it again.

Method 2 doesn’t really work as the x100 multipliers are extremely rare. During the 2 one hour sessions in which I tried to spam for the x100, it never showed up. This is just pure luck. I have had times in which I’ve gotten it in a few turns after turning on the game. They only time I would say this is a good idea is if you have already defeated a Chubby Cait in battle. Just note that it may take several minutes up to several hours to get. For Chubby Caits I usually leave after a x2 or x5.

It’s nice once you get one but this is definitely the least efficient way to farm.

Method 3 is by far the easiest way to obtain xp/jp. If your Dancer acts before your 1shot character, use bewildering grace. If both dancers move before your 1shot character, only use it until you get a x2 or x5 multiplier. If the first dancer gets an x5 multiplier, defend with your second dancer and then go for the kill.

If you get the multiplier, you get it. If you don’t, you don’t. (ts simple. No need to drag out fights for minutes only to get x2 or x5. I have had x5 take me up to 10 minutes or more in the demo. It's better to just do as many fights as you can in 10 minutes).

If your 1shot character moves first, just go ahead and end the fight. You will still be getting x2 experience from the Badge and the EXP skill.

The first test had me getting about 92% more xp with method 3 as opposed to 1, and the second test I had about 121% more XP. That’s literally double the XP/JP gained.

Also by finishing the fights faster, you can get more encounters. More encounters mean more chances of finding a Chubby Cait.
