The ultimate top five robot movie countdown is coming up on Clevver Movies!
Whats up guys, Im Tatiana Diana for Clevver Movies, and Its that Time of the week again, TOP FIVE TUESDAY!
Today we are going to count down the top 5 robot movies of all time! Here we go!
In 5th place is The terminator. With so many installments of the flick, we couldn't leave the Arnold hanging. His famous catchphrase, "I'll be back" took the world by storm, and his action packed movie series will always be a classic.
Coming in 4th is the 1986 robot flick Short Circuit...this may have been before your time, but if you liked Walle, this is definitely a movie not to miss!
Speaking of Walle...this friendly robot takes 3rd ...released in 2008, this heart warming Disney flick won over critics and audiences alike, scoring an incredible 96% on rotten tomatoes and earning 223.7 million in the box office.
In a close race with first place, Michael Bays Transformers lands the number 2 spot. With 3 installments already under its belt, and a potential 4th on its way, we think this high action, visually thrilling, robot flick is here to stay, and has truly earned the number 2 spot.
AND THE ultimate Robot movie of all time goes tooooo....drum roll pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!
STAR WARS!!! Come on guys, did you really think it would be anything else? We really don't think an explanations is necessary on this one...so in honor of the EPIC star wars film series, I thought I would share 5 fun facts about the flick!
1. Chewbacca's name is inspired by the name of Chebika City, in Tunisia
2. The small actor hiding into R2-D2 is named Kenny Baker and is less than 4 feet tall !
3. Princess Grace of Monaco was the very first person to get the first set of 4 StarWars action figures
4. In The Empire Strikes Back, Alec Guinness performed all his appearances in six hours!!!!
And the last fun fact for our Star wars fans....
5. It took three different actors to portray Darth Vader : David Prowse ( his body), James Earl Jones (his voice) et Sebastian Shaw (his face).
