Our next #WeebWednesday assignment is A SILENT VOICE which can be found on Netflix! It is for ages 12 and above! "Due" April 29th!
Our EXTRA CREDIT assignment is KIMI NO NA WA, or, YOUR NAME! It can be rented in HD for about $4 USD on a few platforms, but since you do have to rent it, it's simply extra credit. I've already watched it a few times but it's so good I HAVE to recommend that you watch it. Seriously. My god. What a masterpiece.
A SILENT VOICE is our first movie, to give ourselves a little time to chill after a longer anime! Although honestly, 24 episodes of MY LOVE STORY & 13 episodes of MADE IN ABYSS literally flew by.... just me??? Or do you think we can handle more!?
Next week I'm going to announce our next anime, to give us 3 weeks to watch it. It's a 24 episoder one as well :)

What a gem!!!
I really enjoyed it and was glad that it was recommended to me. Definitely another one that I never would've picked up on my own, and then was soooo glad that I did. So many laugh out loud moments, touching parts (lol), and a satisfying wrap-up. I've heard that the 3 volumes of manga post-show is awesome too, if you want more!
I really liked that this story didn't follow the most annoying tropes. If you're hesitant to watch because you think you know what it's going to be like, you're wrong!! Watch it!! It wasn't frustrating and it was very very funny and very cute.
Our Extra Credit, MADE IN ABYSS, I didn't make a video on! I ended up giving it a 6/10. I loved the visuals, although the chibi style of the characters for me was definitely a miss. I left the series feeling very unsettled and unsatisfied. I don't think I would be too compelled to continue the story beyond curiosity (like I'd probably just read the wiki), the journey to get there is .... yikes. Some pretty disturbing scenes for sure, but hey, it definitely achieved its goal of making me uncomfy!
Music was awesome too though! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know, but I can understand how a lot of people would enjoy it. Just nobody I know personally... lol....
