--- Youtube Recommended MP4 Settings ---
Codec: H.264
Format: .MP4
Audio: AAC at 48kHz (Highest Hz setting)
Res:
Should be same as your original video. You want your video in a standard size like 1280x720 or 1920x1080. NO UPSCALING. That will make your video look crappy.
FPS (Frame Rate):
Keep this the same as your original video. NO UPSCALING. Using the export to increase your frame rate beyond what I recommend in the video will make your videos look choppy and stuttery. Just don't do it.
Bitrates:
1080p: 8 - 10mbps
720p: 5 - 8mbps
Audio: 256 to 384kbps
With video bitrates it's better to aim slightly higher to avoid potential encoding errors when youtube decides to tweak their backend and make changes to the interface. Better safe than sorry eh?
