This is a beta version of Mortar Canyon for Modern Sonic. Unlike the Beta version of Egg Gate, this has many differences that didn't make the final cut. These include different (and unused?) enemies, spikes, different object layouts which gives it more of a challenge rather than a 'run through stage like a maniac' moment. I get Hard Mode and Act 1-2 vibes from this Beta version, and I would love to see this as DLC (with it fully fleshed out of course) along with the rest of the stages (at least for Modern).
