Bethesda bait and switch and screw up with Denuvo DRM in Rage 2

A mere 1 day before it’s release Bethesda added Denuvo to the Steam version of Rage 2 but NOT the Bethesda Launcher version, pulling what was perceived by many to be a bait and switch and punishing those who bought the game on Steam.
Of course, the game was cracked within a day and Bethesda removed Denuvo, claiming that it was “at the request of the customers”.
