Beyond Good and Evil Part 11: The Search for Pey’j
0So, after finding out that I had to shove the box against the wall and shoot through the whole, we finally start making our way through the Factory in search for Pey’j who was kidnapped by Alpha Section for trespassing. The bulk of this section is a lot of stealth and trying to sneak by the guards and, for the most part, it has some okay mechanics that I like. I do have to move while crouched for a large portion of this section and the camera doesn’t exactly help in those moments (it pushed is really far down so that you see a large portion of the floor and Jade’s character model is at the top of the screen). I’m not sure if there is a way to change the camera or that is how it’s supposed to be but it does get a little annoying while trying to look around corners to see if a guard is looking. The guards have some fairly decent AI meaning that you can’t just walk right beside them. They can loose track of you and then return to their posts which you can sort of abuse to learn your boundaries (knowing where they can see you, where they walk, what is considered in covered etc.). I do have some problems with a particular section because my keyboard is kind of broken (I split some juice on the keyboard like the genius that I am and got a decent portion of the left side to get super sticky which makes it hard to press them) and it made some sections harder than they needed to be.
