I decided to jump into No Man's Sky and actually record my footage this time.
I started a fresh new save so that I could experience the Beyond update in real-time and post my experiences here on YouTube.

My approach to this episode of Just Play is much different from the usual. First of all, there is NO commentary, and the video is NOT edited. Everything you see is what I did.
Some might find this style of gameplay boring, which is what originally put me off to begin with - I usually like to cut all the long, boring bits off, but I wanted to relax and play my game naturally, while recording it at the same time, and not have to worry about editing it down.
This is also an adequate substitute to livestreaming for me, because my bandwidth isn't currently strong enough to hold a decent quality stream. This is the next best thing for me in that regard.

I'll also be jumping between my sources used to record my footage. Some will be from using the PVR within the console itself, and some will be from my Elgato Capture Card. It means I can still record footage when I'm away from home and not have to worry about gaps, which usually leads to my attention span withering down, and I end up procrastinating when I return home.

Please note, that because some of the videos will be recorded using the console itself, it means that they will not be shown in 60fps if the video game is played in the same frames-per-second. Personally, I don't think it takes away from the video. They will also be within an hour long - no later than such, due to the max-60mins limit on each recording.

The Elgato, however, will be recorded in 60fps, so the frame rate will jump around between videos, depending on where I am. And there may be times where the videos stretch past the hour mark, it all depends.

In any case, I hope I can make more of these No-Commentary style videos. It's very time-saving for me and goodness knows after the Summer I've had, I need this.
