Beyond Shadowgate | Full Achievement Walkthrough
9This is a full achievement walkthrough for Beyond Shadowgate.

Achievement completion requires two playthroughs as there is a fork in the story about halfway through the game and an ending exclusive to each fork. There are 40 achievements- 37 are unlocked in the first (exhaustive) playthrough and 3 are unlocked in the second (shortened) playthrough.

1:39:52 2nd playthrough- Letting the Imp die
1:46:56 2nd playthrough- Steps for ending D
Playthrough 2 is the same as playthrough 1 up until you give the cookie to the Imp, at which point you want to go to the 'Letting the Imp die' timestamp. If you need help getting to the Mansion with the Imp in playthrough 2, simply follow the 1st playthrough guide up until 45:58.
After the Imp dies and you get the P.I. Stone, you can follow the playthrough 1 guide starting at 56:48 up until 1:32:36, around which point you'd instead go to the 'Steps for ending D' timestamp.
Also, I guess technically you could ignore Jair's Armor in playthrough 2 and therefore never show it to Jair to get his key so that you can access his room in the Tower to get the Staff of Ages since you don't need it for ending D. You also wouldn't need the Empty Sack since that is only used to get the Staff of Ages. And you also wouldn't need the Pole that can be picked up after using the Standard on the Harpy since that is only needed for Ending A. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1) In the first cell of the Castle Dungeon
2-4) At the Checkpoint in the Forest
5) At the Decrepit Tent in the Mountains
6) At the Desert Grave in the Barren Wastelands
7) In the Grave in the Mansion
8) Under the Bed in the Mansion
9) Trapped behind a brick wall in the Mansion
10) On the Lake Bank in Shadowgate Castle
11) In the Courtyard in Shadowgatre Castle
12) In the Throne Room in Shadowgate Castle
