While flying on the WoL server, I spotted a Russian aircraft flying at a high altitude over one of our targets. I figured I would take him out, but he was really good at spotting me on his six and turning the tables every time I attempted to shoot him down. The BF-109 G-4 is supposed to be superior at high altitude, but that's only for speed apparently. He was consistently able to make turns that I couldn't follow, so I kept having to extend and re-climb to avoid getting shot down. Eventually, I lost track of him and decided to head back to base, as I used combat throttle for a long time. When I was trying to land, a dogfight broke out close to the airbase, so I had to divert to that before attempting to land. At least I got an air kill out of the whole thing.

IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad is a great WWII aircraft simulator. The flight physics, damage models, and graphics are unparalleled compared to War Thunder or World of Warplanes. This is a game created by WWII aircraft enthusiasts, and I've had the best experience flying multiplayer and scoring kills.
