BFG 9000: Two-phase attack (end), enemy POV
This is an alternate camera angle for the ending of the 'BFG: Two-phase attack' video:
https://youtu.be/eEokvzKy7aE
Seen here is a long room at the eastern edge of Doom II map 18. The viewpoint is from the south end of the room, facing north. (See https://classicdoom.com/maps/d2maps/18.htm for a map.)
At the start of this video the player is in a distant outdoor location, firing a BFG plasma ball toward the south/southeast. While the plasma ball is moving, the player puts away the BFG and teleports into this room, appearing in the distance near the center of the screen. The player then turns to face north, looking away from the camera.
When the plasma ball expires outside the room, the BFG's invisible secondary rays flash out from the player's coordinates, killing all the Shotgun Guys located south of the player.
This shows how the invisible secondary rays of a BFG 9000 are emitted in the same general compass direction that the original plasma ball moved, even when the attacking player changes weapons, location, or heading. (For example, if a plasma ball is launched directly north, then when the ball expires, the rays emanate from the player in a V-shaped pattern centered on a north direction, regardless of which way the player is facing.)
