Various methods and ideas for solving very large cubes. I go through a simple but reasonably good method with only Niklas commutators, then the regular cage method I use, along with some variants that may or may not be faster.

A note on the time that methods take: solving an NxNxN cube, for a human, takes O(N^2) moves. This generally means that every individual method will have an average of, say, xN^2 + yN + z total moves. However, the actual values of x/y/z will vary depending on what specific method and variant is being used. One variant might have lower x but higher y than another, and that would mean that in practice it will be slower on relatively small cubes but faster on relatively large cubes. For the largest cubes, you want the method with the smallest possible x no matter how large y and z are, but for smaller cubes (and even 20x20x20 can be a relatively small cube!) your priorities will change.
