Big Foot Bonkers - 1976 - Standup Arcade Game
The 1st Snake game? Not exactly. There are some before this one I have but thought the year and name of this one and the feet in the board was best to share.
When I think of my Nokia cell phone in 1999 had Snake as a game. A old really really old game 20 plus years later like it's some high tech advancement? It really wasn't on the Nokia. Gameboy was 1989.
It's weird how we get excitement over old tech on a new tech device.
Like getting excited about playing MAME arcade emulation on a phone today. Too imagine in the 80's that in just 20 years time we will have every arcade game ever made fit inside the storage of the phone memory and an emulator that will interface and play every single 30,000 plus games available? WOW! Just think of that. I have 15 to 16 Arcade Street Fighter Capcom games. All of them and all the other 30,000 games too. On a phone in my pocket.
What the smartphone / pocketpc can do today is mind blowing really.
Camera, Camcorder, Microphone, mini-stereo, mini theater screen, game system, virtual reality, encyclopedia and all references, every kind of language, currency, measurement etc. converter, full blown computer and so much more.
Today you can just wifi your screen to a larger screen, connect a wireless keyboard and mouse and have a pocket sized desktop PC. That's crazy.
A phone today wayyyy more powerful than the best laptop in the year 2010.
