Roots and Wings: BIGBITE Relaunch!!!


Hey everyone! We are proud to announce that, after our brief hiatus, BIGBITE is relaunching! We’re thrilled to be back to bring the community the best content we can, and we're thrilled to have you joining us on the next step of our great journey!


We're going to be shaking up what we're offering in terms of content, and I'll get to that soon. But I don't want to just tell you what, I want to tell you why.


There is a common parenting philosophy called "roots and wings." The concept is simple: you want to give your child roots, an identity, a sense of belonging, a core set of values. On the other hand, you also want to give your child wings, and allow them to find their own way – to develop themselves into who they want to be.


With this philosophy in mind, we've set forth two distinct new products. One will embrace our roots, while the other spreads our wings!


First, we're relaunching our YouTube channel to reflect some of the biggest dreams and aspirations of our company. We're going to be focusing on who we are and what we love. We love gaming, so you'll see much more gaming content, including gameplay video. We love goofing off with each other, so you'll see more personality-driven content, like podcasts. Finally, we love telling stories, so in the not-too-distant-future, you'll start seeing BIGBITE Original animated shows! And guess what? This channel relaunches TODAY! Head on over to our YouTube channel to check out our newest video!


But what about our roots? If you're unfamiliar with BIGBITE's story, we were born as a Rooster Teeth Community fan magazine. We even used to use the cliche tagline (and I'll take the blame for this one), "For the RT Community, by the RT Community." For over a year, we were a huge part of the community, even playing an integral role in the formation of RT World, the largest organization of RT Community groups. Five of our current staff members are local RT Community admins, and two are admins of other non-local RT groups. We've even been on not one, not three, but two panels at RTX! Two things have really defined us in the past: 1) the love of the RT Community, and 2) the willingness to do whatever we can to help it flourish. And we want to see that spirit flourish in BIGBITE once more!


With that being said, I'm pleased to announce that on April 1st (or as I prefer to call it, RTWorld's International Community Day), we will be launching a new BIGBITE Magazine, once again focusing on the RT Community. As such, we're also once again considering ourselves not just a company, but a part of the RT Community as well!


So, to those of you who have been with us since the beginning, thank you for giving us our roots. And to those of you who have joined us along the way, thank you for being the wind beneath our wings as we keep moving forward on our journey!
