303Hey, Sprocketeers! I'm excited to share a recent interview with two remarkable individuals, Susie and Dave, who are part of a campaign close to any biker's heart #Doitfordave. This campaign is all about encouraging us motorcyclists to attend a UK first-aid course called Biker Down.
Susie, a participant in the course, shares her experience with us, detailing how the skills she learned ended up saving a life. This wasn't just any life; it was Dave's life, a fellow biker and friend. In a shocking turn of events, Dave suffered a heart attack while on a ride and tragically died at the scene. But thanks to Susie’s quick thinking and the knowledge she gained from the Biker Down course, she was able to perform emergency first aid procedures, bringing Dave back to life before the paramedics arrived. It was a harrowing story, filled with moments of despair and, ultimately, hope.
