The Japanese soundtrack is quite atmospheric and evocative. It slows down in pace as it goes on and gets very downtempo which I’m not sure I like but its still pretty cool.
The stretch from Bio Metal Warfare to Dark Clouds are the best in my opinion because they flow really well into each other.
The American soundtrack, which adapts the dance music act’s 2 Unlimited’s hits from their debut album Get Ready! is accurate to the source but is quite… limited in its arrangements. The songs sound very repetitive (or more repetitive than they already were) as a result and I think they’ve should’ve adapted at least a few more songs for variety instead of constantly reusing the same songs.
I’m not actually sure if the song used for Stage 5 and the Staff Roll is actually Desire but it’s my favourite track from the American release.
