[Synopsis]

This is a game play video of Bionic Command which was a NES game released in 1988 by Capcom. This game was a sequel to Commando (1985), and the transport scene represents the original game.

This game was different compared to the original in that, the original game was a linear game while this game is more like a action adventure game. As a result, this made the game more interesting. NES was known for creating a lot of these action adventure type games with levels, like The Legend of Zelda, Metal Gear, Metroid, and others. You can choose the missions that you want, like the Legend of Zelda. However, you will not be able to compete missions you don't have the equipment and hit points that are required.

In this game, you cannot jump, so you have to use your grappling hooks. This made the game a little awkward, and you had to get used to this in order to play the game. The plot of the story is that you need to rescue Super Joe from the Empire, who are the antagonists of this game. The Empire are like the the fascists, but in the Famicom version they are portrayed as the Nazis in symbolism. The Famicom version even had a swastika as the Empire's banner, while the NES version did not. Super Joe was from Commando (1985). Even in the original game, the antagonists in that game do look like Nazis in every way. The background of the game, the vehicles they used, and the last mission even looks like a concentration camp. The helmets of the Imperials even look like a Stahlhelm M42.

This game did receive very good reviews in the USA, but it didn't get good reviews in Japan. A sequel for this game was released in 2009, but it was a big flop. I did buy that game, and I thought it was okay. I also bought Commando Rearmed (2008) which was a remake of the original with modern graphics. That game did well, and I thought it was a very good game. You can still buy it on Steam, and it isn't that much money.
