Bionic Commando Rearmed faster Albatross crusher room (100% route)
This shows the beginning of the albatross through the crusher room. It is faster to go left in the first room and swing under the platform by like 0.2 seconds. Maybe a bit less. It was important enough for me to include.
This video is for the 100% category, though it could be modified for any% I'm sure. I make use of a lot more swings and some fancier grappling getting to the switch room, and then I use the shotgun to start the dismount from the switch a bit quicker than before. The crusher room skip is the same as my other video. The main difference here is the invincibility abuse I found for the top.
If you get the crusher room skip first try, you'll be able to go right past the first two crushers because they're on a set timer from when the screen loads. If you miss the skip once or twice and cannot go past the first two crushers instantly, I included an alternate strategy at the end of the video.
The way this glitch works is really simple: you simply stand at the very very edge of a crusher as it crushes, and it will take away your bullet-proof vest/shinguard without killing you. The spacing is really specific, but this shotgun-swing-shotgun combo is extremely consistent. Once the crushers hits you, you can ignore all crusher collision detection for a long period of time afterwards. You can skip up to 6 crushers during this time!
Note: this only ignores collision detection for crushers and not the gas jet/enemies. You still need to do the gas room skip via machine gun. I was hoping I could use the invincibility glitch on the crusher in the main Albatross hallway to skip getting the machinegun in any%, but that is not possible.
