Bioshock Infinite Steam Deck OLED performance test [Docked] [Full HD] Looks great on the Steam Deck!
1There is a lot of videos on YT with various games tested on Steam Deck. Most of them present the footage of the screen and how the game looks ON Steam Deck. Some people, however, use their Steam Deck as a desktop PC or a regular console. My tests intend to show how the game looks and performs on an external screen, in full HD (not in 4k for performance reasons) with certain scaling options.
Although I love postapocalyptic games, movies and books and love the vibe of steampunk mixed with the 40-50s, I have never felt the urge to play the Bioshock games. I gave a chance to the original Bioshock several years ago but, although it's a great game, it didn't click for me. I don't know, maybe it's because I quickly get tired with games set in claustrophobic environments, underground or where levels mostly consist of dark and narrow corridors. That was also the reason why I skipped Bioshock 2. Bioshock Infinite, however, offered a completely new atmosphere. Instead of dark underground, players got to explore a city in the clouds, with bright colors and open spaces. So, finally, after many years, I decided to give it a try. On the Steam Deck. And I must admit, this is one of the games I would highly recommed to play on the Steam Deck. It looks fantastic and performs without any issues!
NOTE: Bear in mind that this is recorded in the docked mode, meaning the performance might always be a bit lower than in the regular handheld mode due to the scaling, etc.
