1In leu of owning an actual pet, I have taken to have birds show up at my home and eat my food. In exchange I get to look at them, and feel mentally comforted. It's like doing what you're doing right now, but the birds are actually there in real life, but still looking at them through a window, or behind piece of glass.
Since I'm pretty new to the whole wild bird feeing deal, if you have any constructives, I'll be happy to listen.
Also, this is more DaVinci Resolve practice, in which I continue to abuse pan and zoom. But the quality is such as you can expect from using a cheap (and reportedly 1080p) webcam for this.
