A lifer for me! The Northern Saw-whet Owl is one of the hardest birds to spot in Essex County. This tiny Owl is the size of a pop can and blends in very well with its surroundings.
If you want to find one, look in the early Winter when they are migrating through our region. They are normally found in Cedar trees.
These Owls typically don't inhabit Essex County, they only pass through.
As such please don't ask for its location. (It is no longer there)
