Got lots of stuff to catch up on, don't I? XD

Yeah, I've been away for a while. Honestly, felt super demotivated to make videos or... do much of anything for a while. Not quite at peak performance yet, but I'm getting there. Part of my journey back involved learning a new chiptune program, and also trying a new video format for these song covers!

MML2VGM is a great new MML compiler, that does exactly what it sounds like: Converts your MML directly into VGM files for a variety of sound chips, the library of which includes nearly every soundchip that DefleMask can emulate and WAY more! In addition, it includes a "YM2609" mode.

YM2609, if you recall from my "ASGORE" cover, consists of 12 FM, 12 PSG, 3 ADPCM, and a Rhythm system. This is basically the same, but with 6 more fixed-pitch ADPCM channels, like the Neo Geo, and a WHOLE LOT of extra features. For example, you can replace the waveform that the FM instruments use for each operator. Normally they use sine waves, but you can replace them with square, sawtooth, triangle, etc, thus allowing for WAY more sound variety! You can also change the waveforms for the PSG as well! PLUS, they have built-in Reverb, Chorus, Distortion, Frequency Pass Filter, and EQ effects! If you're acquainted with using MML to write music, you could EASILY make a professional-sounding track in this one program alone!

I used MDPlayer to provide the keyboard visuals on the left, but it doesn't have a YM2609 mode. I just converted the original MML to play on a combination of YM2608 and YM2610, and then rearranged all the channels in the proper order in editing. I lost some of the audio fidelity in the process, but since all I needed was the visuals, it didn't really matter. I do hope someday a YM2609 mode gets added to MDPlayer, though. And since both programs are made by the same person, I feel like it's not too much of a stretch to see it happening someday.

Also, yes, I know, it's another Doom cover. It's becoming something of a hyperfixation for me now, haha.

Finally, some of you might be wondering if I'm planning on making anything to celebrate DeltaRune Chapter 2 coming out. Well, I have watched my sweetheart play through it, but I gotta play through it myself to get the proper experience. Plus, I gotta get footage. I'll make something for the 3rd anniversary of the 1st chapter coming out. ;)

If you read this far, BTW, thank you. You're awesome. :)
