16bit Generations: DIALHEX is a 2006 puzzle game. This game is part of the bit Generations series, a series of Game Boy Advance titles that was developed by skip Ltd. skip Ltd. is well-known for many other franchises, such as Chibi-Robo! and the Art Style series (which can be considered a sequel to the bit Generation series). Unlike the Art Style series, the bit Generation series only received Japanese releases. In 2010, this game received an Art Style counterpart known as Art Style: ROTOHEX, featuring an extra mode.
In DIALHEX, triangles fall from the top of a hexagonal board with a triangular grid. The player controls a cursor that can rotate triangles on the grid. If six triangles of the same colour create a hexagon, they disappear from the board. In Solo Mode, the game starts with two colours. After clearing six hexagons of each colour, a new colour is added. Clearing six of that colour ands a new one. The process repeats until the eighth colour is finished, ending the game. If the grid reaches max capacity, the player gets a "game over". The game features two power-ups: one that can change the colours of triangles on the board, and one that removes triangles from the board.
Time starts when the board is visible.
Time ends when the final hexagon is created.
