As requested by several viewers, here's a rendition of Bizet's Jeux d'enfants.
With Jeux d'enfants (Children's Games), Bizet carries on the legacy of Robert Schumann with a set of piano miniatures. It isn't hard to imagine that Schumann's Kinderszenen, another piano miniature set with a childhood theme, was an important source of inspiration.
In total, these little pieces show a comprehensive look at Bizet's natural creativity and melodic talent, as well as the potential that was tragically cut short by his early death.
