Welcome to Black Dragon Canyon, Utah. Cutting through the eastern cliff line of the San Rafael Swell, the area is named for the rock art panel on the canyon wall that features what looks like a flying dragon.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: To get textures as featured in the screenshots requires the Map Texture Replacer by Cgameworld and requires the Desert Map Theme. I imported a stock texture for the cliff face in addition to this pack, unfortunately I'm not able to distribute the texture freely, but it can be found by checking the description of the PDX Mods listing.
In the future, I will create my own themes for the texture creator to distribute (with my own created textures). This will happen in the future.
The final screenshot in the Paradox Mods preview gallery shows the map with the game's default textures.
It also requires Better Bulldozer by yenyang (or a mod equivalent) should you decide to alter the rest stops featured on the map. It is NEEDED to delete the vehicles, parking, grass , dirt, and pavement surfaces they use.
This map was also created in the beta version of the map editor, water physics and other glitches may occur, please use at your own risk and report any bugs with the map in the comments of my highlight video on YouTube. This map is still very experimental!
PERFORMANCE: If the rocks/bushes bog you down. Reduce your view distance! The detailing technique was experimental, it works great on my system, but results will vary as I couldn't test on multiple systems. You may also remove the rocks by selecting them as a brush in dev mode (random rocks) and setting the bulldozer filter to delete them. They span the entire map.
Map Information:
Map includes air, rail, road, water, and electric connections.
High voltage lines are BURIED and span the map, to use them you must connect to them either above ground or below.
Map includes Easter eggs and stylistic choices that may not be true to life. Some creative liberty was taken, such shipping connections and rail networks.
This location was chosen because of its exceptionally unique geography and build area challenge.
Road networks follow IRL layouts, but may not be precise.
Resources:
Map includes abundant oil and ore resources, with agriculture following the river. Water may be sparse in areas.
Special Notes:
Use at your own risk, performance is NOT guaranteed! The map has an extremely heavy use of bushes and ROCKS. Because of the heavy use of trees/bushes, your simulation speed may suffer depending on your hardware.
Map was created from scratch from high-resolution lidar, there may be errors or unintended issues, use at your own risk.
I'm doing this for fun, and it takes a lot of work and time, but I don't take it seriously. Nor should you.
Water has been tested and works. However, due to the current work in progress nature of the CS2 map editor, please use at your own risk as sometimes the water physics take a very long time to play out.
