Oh and the Boss's stats in the screenshots are from MADNESS 6. I was doing a lot of this on that difficulty to get enough gold/shards to make decks to win the rolls automatically.

Hoping to do the Frozen Sewers/Act 1 Hatch/Spider Caves next.

As for the guaranteed Steel Rod the steps you need to take are
1. Buy the Cheese from the Travelling Cart in Act 1
2. Act 2 Frozen Sewers enter through the right entrance and take the right path and give the cheese to the rat near the boxes/crates
3. Hope the Fishing Node Spawned to fish the Blob out.
