2Black Future ’88 is a 2D rogue-like shooter with a Synth-punk atmosphere. We will advance through a procedurally generated tower to its summit to finish with the disturbed owner… before our heart explodes.
Shoot, cut, push yourself and use force to survive the endless waves of mortal traps, killer robots and colossal guardians who will block off the way in an alternative and modern version of 1988.
The story develops in a world suffering the consequences of a nuclear massacre set off by Duncan, the tower architect. The first bomb fell during the summer of 1988, and, in December of the same year, clouds of acid rain completely covered the sky. From that moment, humanity decided to stop counting time, leading us to living eternally in 1988. Just like that, counting neither months or weeks… Now, everything is measured in minutes of life.
Put yourself in the shoes of one of the last remaining rebels and make your way to the top of the tower to kill the architect and stop the constant nuclear rain. Climb to die and die to survive.
