Gordon wakes up in the test chamber right after the resonance cascade, realizing that the facility has been severely damaged. On his way back to the lobby, he comes across a distressed Eli Vance, and he urges him to get to the surface as quickly as possible and call for help.

Dodging attacking alien creatures and malfunctioning lab equipment, Gordon makes it to the lobby, where he finds out that the tram is too damaged from the resonance cascade to use. Gordon must get to the Admin Offices upstairs, forcing him to go through Sector B instead, which leads to the Office Complex.
