♫ Here it is as promised. I did originally say that this would go on my 2nd channel but this took way too much work to be relegated there. This took a day of intensive data collection & a day of video editing. Only Black MIDI channels w/ over 5K subs that I know of are covered. Other similar genres (i.e. dark MIDI, impossible remixes, etc) are not covered. Regular Black MIDI content should be returning soon, but since school is starting for me in a couple days, content production will be slower. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy! Please refer to the paragraph below if you'd like a note on my data collection.
Since Nov 2017, SocialBlade statistics cover data for the last 3 years (instead of from 2010) due to EU privacy regulations (stupid EU doing bullshit again). As I previously stated in the community post, there is not a lot of data regarding Black MIDI backed up on the Wayback Machine as Black MIDI has always been a niche genre on YT. I tried my very best, gathering data from the few pages archived in the Wayback Machine. I also combed through numerous subscriber special vids, community posts & comments to get the fullest picture possible. To fill in the gaps, I applied various regression models (linear, exponential, & custom ones as well) that best reflected realistic individual channel growth. Since I'm unfortunately a human, I made a couple mistakes & missed a few subscriber special vids. Thus, ArduinoPlays's initial channel growth is too early & slow by a few months. I heavily relied on regression models for EpreTroll so any sub count below 4,279 for him is my best educated guess (his channel had very few pages archived in the Wayback Machine). The initial sub growth for the old-timers (Gingeas, TheSuperMarioBros2, & Ryan TTC) should be quite accurate as there were many pages of their channels archived in the Wayback Machine. I KNOW THAT ALL OF THE DATES IN THE VIDEO ARE ONE MONTH OFF (except for the header). Please don't pester me about it; I really didn't want to redo the entire thing when I discovered that & any attempt @ covering up the date counter would mess up the video.
