Black Myth: Wukong is an impressive first stride into the AAA gaming space for Game Science. While Wukong’s lack of polish and reliance on clumsily placed invisible walls are dead giveaways that Game Science isn’t the most experienced development team, Wukong’s extraordinary combat, striking creature design and gorgeous end-of-chapter cutscenes allow it to rise above its shortcomings, making Black Myth: Wukong one of 2024’s finest action games, and Game Science one of the most promising new studios to burst onto the scene in many years.
