This was the very last show we played with Black Nexus, and it happened on my birthday party back in 2019. We pulled up a gig together with my then band Autophagy, and it happened that also all the members of Black Nexus were there, so why not play? This was completely unrehearsed, and it shows, we had no idea what we were doing, we didn't remember the songs very well, and we were very sloppy. Anyway, we were doing it for the fun, not for the seriousness of it xD
This is the only soundboard recording of a Black Nexus show, and it's not a very good one. For starters the electronic drumkit is less than ideal, we didn't really look into the mix very well and a lot of stuff just doesn't sound right at all like my guitar being on the quiet side, very harsh sounding and the bass being panned to the left with barely any bass frequencies, and no compressors for the microphones (there was no option for that with the little mixing board we had).
This was recorded straight into VHS, including the audio, that dies on Born to Kill, but comes back shortly after. This was done mostly out of necessity, as I didn't have the means of recording this digitally reliably at the time, but it has a beautiful charm to it, I feel it adds to the experience!
